The pollster conducted a real time survey during the censure debate from Nov 26-27, seeking opinions from 1,231 people in Bangkok, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Pathom, Petchaburi, Samut Prakan, Uttaradit, Lampang, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mukdahan, Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon, Roi Et, Buri Ram, Loei, Songkhla and Narathiwat.
Mr Noppadon
reported that 68.6% of the respondents said they still have confidence in the
prime minister, but 31.4% of them said they did not think so.
Some 56.1% gave
a vote of confidence for Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubamrung, and
43.9% voted against him.
Deputy Interior
Minister Pol Lt Gen Chat Kuldilok was supported by 53.2% of the respondents,
but 46.8% voted against him.
Defence
Minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat received the lowest supporting votes, at
50.6%, while 49.4%, voted against him.
Nearly 69% of
the respondents agreed the censure debated was constructive, and gave a
satisfactory grade of 6.42 points out of ten to the opposition, and 6.34
points to the government side.
Asked about the
reliability of information and evidence provided by the two sides during the
debate, 43.5% of the people polled sided with the opposition, but 36.1% of them
backed the government's version.
