The Thai economy in 2012 is expected to grow by 5.7
percent, while economic growth in 2013 is likely to continue at a rate of
4.5-5.5 percent.
The great holiday exodus
The traffic jams built up all day Friday as all of Bangkok seemed to want
to get out of the city for the New Year. There were 33 road deaths on the
"first Dangerous Day" - while up-country, those cars are not allowed
into the two largest national parks this weekend.
25% of Si Sa Ket drivers drunk
Nearly one-quarter of the drivers stopped at police checkpoints in Si Sa
Ket province on Thursday were drunk, officials said on Friday.
